VH1′s ‘Real Chance Of Love’ Star Ahmad ‘Real’ Givens Fighting Stage 4 Cancer!

Ahmad Givens a.k.a. Real, who starred in the VH1 hit reality show “Real Chance of Love” with his younger brother, Kamal, a.k.a. Chance, has been diagnosed with STAGE FOUR colon cancer and is getting treatment at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Beverly Hills.

TMZ has been told 33-year-old Real went back to the hospital at least 4 times and was initially told something was wrong with his liver — but last week doctors informed him it was colon cancer.

Stage four generally means the cancer has spread to other parts of the body.

We’re told the rapper-turned-reality-star will remain hospitalized at least until docs figure out what kind of treatment — chemotherapy, radiation, or both — he will require.

Let's Hope he pulls through.

Dax Shepard Blogs About Death of His Father

Teary eyed moment!

Funnyman and father-to-be Dax Shepard wrote a touching blog post about the recent death of his father, who lost his battle to cancer at age 62 in late December. Among many memories relived through his writing—his father’s experience with AA and his love for food and flirting with women, their troubled relationship and bonding over his diagnosis—one recollection involved his expectant “wife” Kristen Bell.

The actor described the moment his dad met his unborn child.

“At one point, and unbeknownst to both of us, my wife walked into the room. She had flown in from LA without any warning. It was a surprise. It was an amazing, incredible, perfectly timed surprise,” he wrote.

“She lifted her shirt up and he put his hand on her swollen stomach. He left it there for the better part of an hour,” he continued. “He was smiling from ear to ear, sitting contently, unable to put together a sentence, but still capable of connecting to the new family member we were creating.”

He added: “He wasn’t going to make it to the birth, but that didn’t get in the way of him meeting the new baby. It was an emotional and triumphant moment. One I will never forget. If I live to be a thousand, I will still be in debt to my wife for giving him that one last thrill.”

Lance Gross and Jurnee Smollet-Bell Behind the Scenes

Actress Jurnee Smollett-Bell and actor Lance Gross sat down with HLN’s “Weekend Express’ host Natasha Curry to talk about what it was like working with producer Tyler Perry on his new movie “Temptation.” 

Also, Lance and Jurnee dish on what it was like to work with their Hollywood co-stars Brandi, Vanessa Williams and Kim Kardashian.

In the film, Jurnee Smollett-Bell plays a marriage counselor who is lured into a toxic romantic relationship — behind her husband’s (played by Lance Gross) back.

Justin Timberlake with another New Album

JT is on a roll! Timberlake has confirmed that he will be coming out with another album this year but will not reveal the release date. That's no surprise. This will be a second volume to his just released album "The 20/20."

At his album release party, Timberlake stated that the album that was just released was "only the first part".

"There is another half," he said "I'm not giving you a release date."

According to Okayplayer.com
Ouestlove, the roots drummer who has worked with Timberlake in the passed on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon," stated that Mr.Timberlake, 32, intended to put a second album of 10 songs in November.

The new album marks down the comeback of Mr. Timberlake to the world of pop music after six years which I have missed. During those six years JT was focused on his acting career, having roles in "The Social Network" and "In Time." The album has been at the top of the itunes album since it became available and it is most likely to top the Billboard 200 chart.

Derrick Rose Gives Back

Derrick Rose has a big heart. He has offered to pay for the funeral of Jonylah Watkins. In case you didn’t know Jonylah Watkins was the six-month old baby who was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting on March 11, 2013.She was shot five times along with her father Jonathan Watkins 25, who was seriously wounded.

NBC Chicago.com reports:

Rose, the Chicago Bulls, made the offer, according to Rev. Corey Brooks, who is a spokesman for the family of little Jonylah.

Rose was also said to have paid for the funeral of slain rapper Lil’ Jo Jo, who was shot and killed while riding a bike last September.

The Englewood native – who recently became a father last October when his son, Derrick Rose Jr. was born – has always felt a close connection to the plight of kids in Chicago, as evidenced by his speaking out during the recent Chicago Public School strike, and him shedding tears over the many obstacles that kids face during the launch of his new Adidas sneaker, the Rose 3.0 in September.

Meet the New Face of CoverGirl

Congratulations to 18 year old Alexis Harris on being selected as the new face of Cover Girl cosmetics.
In case you didn't know Ellen Degeneres launched a weeks' long nationwide search for the next CoverGirl  on her show, and Alexis Harris , a junior co-ed attending the University of Texas at San Antonio. Alexis had no idea she won the contest, beat out more than 20,000 applicants to become the new face.

Chron.com reports:
Degeneres helped the cosmetics ' giant search for the next "easy, brezzy" face through her popular talk show asking candidates to submit a letter explaining why they'd be the perfect for the job.

Harris was in the audience when the announcement was made with several of the students family members sitting on the Ellen set in preparation for a make-believe press conference -Ellen Style- that came soon after.

Harris, who is from killeen, received a $20,000 check and will appear in an ad in People magazine. Degeneres told Harris that next month they would shoot a Cover Girl ad together.

Yes Braxton fans, the diva of the family Tamar Braxton is finally pregnant! This secret has been kept locked away because she is very pregnant. She finally put her bump on display this morning with making a appearance on ABC's Good Morning America stating: 
I have a love on top! I am pregnant!  I don’t have that many months to go. Almost there!
This explains why Tamar's album has no set release date! At least they both kept their end of the deal, Tamar got her album and Vince is a soon to be parent. Seems to me this is going to be a great year for these two, with the couple expecting their first child and Tamar's first album is going to drop later this year. What more can Tamar ask for?

Kandi Releases New Gospel Track 'Stay Prayed Up'

Kandi Burruss wanted to step out her comfort zone and come out with a gospel track 'Stay Prayed Up' and grabbed great gospel singer Marvin Sapp to put more power into the track. Although the song reached Number 1 on the itunes gospel charts, it received strong criticism from the people living supposedly "perfect lives". From having a very popular sex toy line, to openly talking about sex during her weekly web stream segment Kandi Koated Nights, she should be the last person doing a gospel track as some people responded.

Kandi posted on her facebook with a response to the criticism:
'I knew when I decided to do it that I would be criticized. That’s to be expected. I’m a single mom that had a child out of wedlock, I speak openly about sex on #KandiKoatedNights, I have #BedroomKandi, etc… I’m very honest about who I am. My great grand father & my grandfather were Bishops in The Church of God Holiness. I believe in God but I have always struggled with the rules of the church just like a lot of people. The song “Stay Prayed Up” is like a testimony for me. Hopefully people with a similar struggle can relate.'

The track is related to what Kandi has gone through over the last few years, especially having to deal with the murder of her first fiance AJ Jewell. I love the track because it's a testament of her struggles that she has been through and how she got through her hard times. It's also a breath of fresh air compared to what it use to be for Kandi.

Justin Timberlake Throws A Shot Back At Kanye

Justin Timberlake says he's got nothing but "love" for alleged new rival Kanye West. This past weekend Justin made his fifth appearance as host of “Saturday Night Live,” and performed quite a few skits as well as a few new tracks, but it was his final performance that had everyone buzzing.

A few minutes, into “Suit & Tie , Justin changed a lyric to the song  from "Aww, s--- so sick, got a hit and picked up a habit" to "my hit's so sick, got rappers acting dramatic. West dissed Timberlake's "Suit & Tie" at a concert on Feb. 23. In London, where the rapper declared: "I got love for Hov, but I ain’t f---ing with that 'Suit & Tie.'"

Will Kanye West Retaliate?

It’s very slick of Justin to respond through song, but we don’t think Kanye will sit lightly on this. Let's hope not. On Monday night Justin made an appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, Timberlake stated "For the record, I absolutely love Kanye. So there's that."

Richards-Ross comes to reality

2012 Olympian track star Sanya Ricahrds-Ross is coming to WE tv with her own reality show. Richards-Ross has beat out the likes of Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte and Gabby Douglas for that coveted title of First Reality Star Olympian. The show is about the gold medal winner's time leading up to London with the intense training. In addition the show is also sure to feature her fine football husband Aaron Ross, who plays for the Jacksonville Jaguars. The show is supposed to air sometime in the summer. With WE tv being a family oriented station, Richards-Ross should fit right in.

TV Series Recap

Most of you all should know that this past week the hit TV series “Law & Order SUV’ just had an eye catching episode about violence and abuse. The plot of the story was referring to the famous couple Chris Brown and Rihanna but SUV took it to a further extent. In 2009 Brown assaulted Rihanna just before the Grammy’s. Since then the two have reconciled and remained on and off romantically since then. Headlines were going crazy after the show aired. Now I would say the episode was good but it has its cons. For one I feel as though they could’ve used better actors who played the roles. As for the female who played the role of R&B singer Mischa: her acting was bad and the male who played the rapper boyfriend Caleb: his acting was horrible. I know I’m no actress but I can tell bad acting from good. Aside from that, the question is did SUV take it too far?  Personally I don’t think they did, they wanted to show what will happen in the future if she continued to stay in the abusive relationship which in most cases females end up dead. While everyone was questioning and wondering, Hollywood Life came out and got off their chest writing "Overall, the show took some liberties ... but pretty much wrapped things up exactly as they are: Chris is a violent man and Rihanna accepts a bad man in her life. How sad!" Let’s hope Brown and Rihanna stay on this good path that they have now.

So I know I'm a week late on the Oscars but I just want to give a little review just in case you missed it. This year the Oscars went for a musical broadway theme which was a surprise. Some celebrities had secret talents I did not know about that came to a complete shock. From Charlize Theron doing a duet with Channing Tatum and a trio done by Daniel Radcliffe, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and the Host Seth Macfarlane. The Oscars had a couple more surprises up their sleeves with doing a tribute to musicals with the cast of Les Miserables(Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Russell Crowe, Eddie Redmayne, Samantha Barks and Helena Bonham Carter), Dreamgirls' and Chicago's Catherine Zeta-Jones. There was also a James Bond Tribute with bringing Dame Shirley Bassey performing"Goldfinger" along with Adele performing her Oscar winning song "Skyfall". Let's just say all of the performances were great and the Oscars knew what they were doing. The Oscars had one more surprise for us towards the end with having the First Lady Michelle Obama present the Best Picture Oscar award and may I say she looked fabulous by the way. As far as the films, actors and actresses that were nominated for their category it was a pretty tough competition but each film got their share of love so as far as winners it was a fair win and outstanding show.
